John Stow


John Stow retired from Sabre holdings in March 2008 after holding various executive positions over a 37 year career. He was most recently president of Sabre Travel Network and also served as senior vice president for Sabre Holdings. Under his leadership, Sabre Travel Network enhanced and grew its leadership position by providing its travel agency and corporate customer base industry-leading products and services.

Previously, John Stow was senior vice president for Sabre Holdings and president of travel agency solutions where he oversaw all aspects of the business unit, including sales and service organizations in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. Under his leadership, travel agency solutions focused on cost reduction through reinvention, while increasing customer satisfaction and growing booking share.

John also has served as senior vice president and general manager for electronic travel distribution and senior vice president of North American sales and service for the Sabre Holdings GDS business.

Early in his career, John worked for more than 14 years at IBM in a variety of marketing and sales positions. Subsequent roles include president and CEO of Encompass, AMR's global logistics venture with CSX, and vice president of marketing for AMR Information Services.

John earned a bachelor's degree in operations research and statistics from California State University in Long Beach. He also completed more than 30 units of postgraduate work in business.
